Joanna Collier, Fine Artist

Working primarily in oil paints and oil-based pastels, I love to explore the ways that light interacts with the natural world and the human body. My landscapes and figures are painted from life in a single session to create a more intimate connection between the viewer and the subject. Creating artwork is my favorite form of meditation; it allows me to release conscious thought and fully experience the present moment in a way nothing else can.
